Tour of Chinese Four Arts

This environmental simulation project showcases the traditional architecture of Huizhou, Southern China, along with the Four Arts of traditional Chinese culture: Qin (guqin), Qi (chess), Shu (calligraphy), and Hua (painting). These arts reflect the refined pursuits of ancient scholars, expressing personal cultivation and individual talents. Through an immersive tour, participants can explore the unique architectural environment of Huizhou houses visually and auditorily. Users can use WASD to move to interactive areas and click on objects or press "F" to find them. Interacting with these artifacts provides a deeper understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese art and architecture, allowing participants to fully comprehend the profound connotations of these cultural treasures. This project offers a comprehensive and engaging experience, highlighting the artistic and historical significance of the traditional Chinese Four Arts and Huizhou architecture.

Ascent

Ascent is a third-person fantasy game developed using Unity3D, in a low-poly retro style. The player begins in a village, where NPCs (non-playable characters) warn of a strange tower. They ascend the towers’ insanity-inducing halls until they reach a battle with a large skeleton foe, where the gameplay switches to a 2D bullet-hell combat style. Defeating the enemy ends the game.

PATHOS

PATHOS is a final year individual project exploring tragedy in the form of an interactive narrative. The Greek tragedy Oedipus the King has been adapted into a complex piece of interactive fiction using the open-source platform Twine. The adaptation consists of 77 passages of text connected to each other with embedded links. There are over 22,000 words in total.
